Karl Griffin

Chief Technical Officer

Karl joined AWAS in March 2007 and has over 15 years experience in the aviation industry.

Prior to joining AWAS, Karl was Chief Technical Officer with CIT Aerospace International.  During his time in CIT, Karl looked after European operations and was responsible for the technical and asset management of the CIT fleet based in Dublin.

Prior to joining CIT, Karl held a variety of senior management roles across the aviation industry.  Throughout his time with RBS Aviation Capital he held the role of SVP Engine Finance and also worked within their Operations & Pricing and Technical & Asset Management departments. 

He commenced his aviation career with Shannon Aerospace, a joint venture between GPA (Guiness Peat Aviation), Lufthansa and Swissair. 

Karl is a graduate of the Galway Institute of Technology and is an EASA certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
